My first day in Australia
I force my self to write these notes because i can forget this moment anytime.
Well, I arrived in Melbourne International Airport ( Tullamarine ) at 6.00 am with flight GA716. I am very lucky since this is first class flight so I got hot meal during my flight. There was blanket, pillow, and screen to watch movies, listening to music, notice flight map, and watch TV programmes. Before, I though it would be difficult to pass migration but it run well. a tips from me, it is better for you to fill in arrival form in board and dont forget to bring a pen in your bag, it will be useful. I fiilled the form when I queqed in migration line, so the officer asked me to write it first. I was calm enough, so I followed her instruction. Next, I passed s officer to check my luggage, luckily she didn't ask me to open up mt suitcase, she just ask me several questions related to what kind of things that i have declared in the arrival form.
I followed the way out and directly went to meeting point to meet my driver from monash university, I waited for him more than 30 minutes and then I have a plan to call the aeroservice ( pick up service from uni ) but I talked to my mind just wait little bit may be my driver on his way. While waiting for my driver I met other Indonesians, her name is Sabrina with her Koko and his girlfriend. I feel so thankful that not long after we greeted each other, there was a man came to us and asking our name, I was sure that he is my driver and it's true. Luckily, Sabrina and I have the same driver. His name is Khalid, he is a paskistani and he has lived in here for 11 years. He is very kind and nice, we had interesting conversation along the way home.
home that i means is Bg Melqi's house. I feel beyond happy to know him and his family. I got his number from kak Widya and I got his wife number from Kak citra ( Uni tili calls her lia ).
after arriving at home Uni tili welcome me nicely, she is a warm hearted woman, I like her in the first sight. then I met bg Melqi he just arrived from working, what a perfect time. Thanks to Khalid took me home savely.
Then, I got a cup of tea and toast with peanut jam, they were appetiser than I got rice with chicken soy sauce anf vegetables soup. What a lovely morning and than I call my parent and my sister.
Next, Uni tili showed me my bedroom, it is very comfortable they clean them and change the bed cover to welcome my arrival. I got many excitement here. Alhamdulillah. Because I was so excited so I wanted go to campus directly but I had to took shower first ( real shower ). something happen after showering, i spinned the panel for cool water but it was broken, I wan so affraid, this is still my first day but i already made a mistake, I was trying to calm, and wait uni tili in front of her door to come out, so i can tell her what is the problem. o thanks god, it can be fixed. She laughed at me, she said no problem dont worry.
okey, one probllem has been solved, then i went to monash connect to grab my student id card and report my arrival.
