Team Building Reflection - Six Asix
Yesterday, we had a team building day at school—one of those activities designed to strengthen teamwork, communication, and connection. In many work settings, team building has become a culture, and I'm so glad our school embraced it too.
And guess what?
Our team, “Six Asix,” came out as the winner! 🎉
How did we win? Honestly, I still wonder—because other teams were also strong, creative, and full of energy. But if I reflect on it, here are some reasons I think we made it through:
💡 What Worked for Our Team
1.Clear Roles, Calm Minds
In the puzzle game, we worked calmly and let each person take the part they knew best. No one tried to take over—we simply trusted one another.
2. Trust and Support
For the yel-yel (chant) station, one member stepped up and created the chant. We all trusted him and followed his lead. Same with the standing-on-paper challenge—we had someone who understood the trick, and we listened.
3. Smart Observation
In the bottle-catching challenge, we noticed someone tall among us and let them take the lead. Observation and quick decision-making helped us complete that round efficiently.
4. Acceptance and Moving On
In the second game (the balloon race), we lost. It was tiring and intense—but we accepted it, didn’t dwell on it, and moved on with positive energy.
5. Creative Collaboration
The painting game was abstract but had meaning. We agreed on the idea of drawing two curved lines to symbolize a heart. Even randomness has value when you give it meaning together.
6. Encouragement Matters
Not all of us are athletic, but in the final challenge (sit-ups, jump jacks, singing, dancing), we pulled our strength together. We focused. We cheered each other on until the mission was complete.

🎯 Lessons Learned
This experience reminded me that winning is not about being the fastest or strongest. It’s about:
Trusting your team
Playing your role with heart
Observing, adapting, and supporting each other
Letting go when things don’t go as planned
And most of all—having fun together
We won, yes.But more than that, we connected. We laughed, we sweated, and we built memories. That’s what truly matters.
